With effective new
technologies, reducing pollution by recovering bio-energy can be
relatively simple and quite profitable.
The following wastes are
attractive candidates; refuse and commercial wastes, tires, manure, sewage
sludge, crop and manufacturing residues, underbrush and forest slash.
In addition, small stand alone
systems fueled with locally available biomass can provide inexpensive
power in remote or developing regions not having access to a grid.
